Telemergency Alert Device
"Peace of Mind when
you can not be there"
When it comes to your family's safety,
you don't want to take chances. So make sure they get the help they
need with the Telemergency, a wireless pendant and base unit that
dials 911 and your choice of five other emergency contact phone
numbers at the press of a button. A pre-recorded emergency message
that you record in your own voice is then delivered. If you're on the
receiving end of the distress phone call, you'll even be able to
activate the base unit's speakerphone function, so you can speak with
the person needing assistance directly.
The Telemergency is incredibly easy to use. After a one-time set-up
taking about 15 minutes, it's ready to go. Just press the button on
the wireless pendant or the clearly-marked PARAMEDIC, POLICE or FIRE
DEPARTMENT buttons on the base unit, and it will dial out. Special
tones confirm that the unit is dialing for help. A "stop" button is
also provided in the event of an accidental press. Range for the
wireless transmitter is approximately 100 feet from the base.
Unlike other solutions that require monitoring by a central station,
this unit is totally self-supporting. You won't have to pay any
monthly fees, apart from your regular phone service.
The Telemergency includes the base unit, wireless pendant with
battery, AC adapter and phone cord. Although the base unit is powered
by the included AC adapter, a 9V battery is required to maintain
operation in the event of a power outage (9V battery not inlcuded).
The system also comes with pre-printed post cards that you can send to
the emergency contacts explaining what the Telemergency is and how to
activate the speakerphone feature. Just fill in the address, add a
stamp and drop them in the mail.
